Mystery illness! S. had it the other day, I have it now, and it goes a little something like this: you feel utterly wretched in a non-specific way, and you run a fever. Also, you are useless. Earlier, I felt that my eyes had been transformed into little cubes in their sockets (perhaps with an egg cuber), but that sensation has since passed.
The magic performance-fueling adrenaline that goes with teaching carried me through the adventures of Freshman Comp today, as it always does, but now that I am home, I am just a shuddery little wad of Jello. As a result, lunch was the low, low effort but unfortunately also low nutritional value delight that is Tostitos with a "Hint of Lime" (which sobriquet, as was recently pointed out to me, is not so accurate in the "hint" department, and if it were up to me, the bag would say something more along the lines of "Giant Bludgeoning MacGuffin of Lime"). Also on the menu is lots of tea with ginger and honey. It just gets more and more exciting, doesn't it? I swear to you I will cook something interesting again someday.
