I declare gum surgery to be Really Not That Bad. It does, however, mean that I don't get to eat anything fun (or warmer than tepid!) for a little while, and makes me feel like drooping uselessly around the house. I expect to be even uselesser if I decide to upgrade from Advil to Tylenol-3, so S. will be cooking for himself for a little while, I predict.
Today's grocery shopping to carry S through the end of the week: eggs, linguine, strawberries, potatoes, shallots, cute little baby eggplants.
Today's grocery shopping to carry me through the end of the week (not that S. is not welcome to partake): blackberry sorbet, vichyssoise, cream of asparagus soup, raspberry yogurt, super-natural vanilla drink-in-a-can Ensure analog, Kozy Shack pudding.
I am concerned about what the ban on warm-to-hot foods means for my morning latte. Because I am gross, though, I predict that I will just deal with this difficulty by letting the coffee get cold and then drinking it. Hooray.
