Open sesame

Do sesame leaves taste like sesame? I had never much thought about the sesame plant, but sure enough, there is such a thing. (Where else, indeed, would sesame seeds come from?) It is large, which is strange. Apparently one third of the US sesame seed crop is sold to McDonalds for use in their sesame seed buns. Is this possible? I suppose it is.
