As you can see, I've spruced things up a bit around here. I've also updated Movable Type and you should be able to comment again. Eventually I'll probably tighten up the security on commenting and make you jump through a hoop or two along the way, but (a) I have to figure out where in the template system MT keeps all this stuff, and (b) I've already lost a lot of work time down the Internet hole on this as it is. But I was so tired of technical difficulties and so tired of having failed to update the look of the site in a zillion years, so here it is.
Unfortunately, I'm all too aware that the graphics I've chosen for the academic pages (which are actually supposed to be the more prominent part of the site) are less than thoroughly professional looking. If only I worked on children's literature, I'd be all set, but it is un-so. I will have to use my copious free time I to whip something up that speaks in any way of literature, detecting, or cognition . Also, I have obtained some sort of insect bite on my hand. Alas.
UPDATE: Sorry, sorry, I did try to make the comments more restrictive, but I didn't do it right. They're open-er now and should work.

Har!
I think I can now stop futzing with the academic headers. I am glad.
Posted by redfox at March 9, 2006 12:34 PMOoh, your comments are back! I wanted to comment a while back saying I was pleased you'd started posting again, but that's a bit out of date now. Anyway, keep posting! I still love your journal. It's great to see someone else who's obsessed with vegetables.

Hooray. Now I can tell you how good that broccoli sounds. And lose the little battle I'm having with myself, as I tried not to ask you whether the bite you have acquired is maybe the work of your comments bug?
